So lets start with SIA.  In late January Billy Nixon and I headed out from the Tetons to Denver.  Why would we do such a thing in the middle of winter right when it is starting to dumb snow in the Tetons you ask….I am still not sure.  But it was a good experience, met some good people, and got to catch up with some friends.  The trade show actually reminded me just how big the winter sports industry is and how lucky I am to be a part of it!

Just following Outdoor Retailer (OR), SIA has much more of the trend/style show case I think.  And oh how into that I am, ha.

That is why Dersh, Tats, and I had to make sure to sport the Core Concepts brand and remind all these people that it is all about style and function!  To get your CC style & function on go to and use the code pro0210ml to get 40% off all regular priced items!

As SIA came to a close Billy and I new there was POW awaiting us back home at the Ghee.  There met up with long time brotha (and founding partner in the former Fobia Films) PJ and his wife Kim.  Coming home to the Tetons is always fun cause all your friends are twice as hardcore as you are and always pushing you to keep charging.  Ryan Hawks, Lars Chickering-Ayers, Benny, Lewy and crew “forced” me into make some sicko pow turns, and then my good buddy ED conviced me that skiing pow into Teton Canyon down to their sled would be a good idea.  He was right.  Oh but it does not stop there, after a short apre hottub sesh, Joe Turner and Jeff Nass call about doing an evening photo shoot on Teton Pass.

They were just on their way from Denver/SIA to Montana and I figured, why not.  As you can see, Jeff is a magician with the camera, so I am glad I jumped on board.

On February 6th and 7th it was time for the local young freeride talent to kickoff their competitive freeskiing season with the first annual Jackson Hole Jr Freeskiing Open.

Judging Crew

Jason, Rob, and Margaret from JHMR asked me to head up the judging staff that also included the 2009 South American Freeskiing Champion Jacqui Edgerly and local film star Tyler Horne.

Oh, and ofcourse we had local ripper Bryce Newcomb right by our sides with a megaphone keeping the crowd pleased.  Results from the event to come soon!

Charlie Leveroni rippin it.

And to rap up the last few weeks, I was invited back over to Jackson to shoot with Gabe Rogel and the crew from Futuristic Films.  It has been a blast.  How could it not be when you are skiing and hanging out with the likes of Jess Smith, Nick DeVore, and local Targhee ripper Julia!  Thank you crew, I finally feel like this season is going somewhere!!!!
